Development Department and from the Medicines Assessment Research Unit, the latter for commercial research.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"h.p_frf22KxK22Qj\" class=\"zfr3Q OmQG5e\">Research Interests<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"n8H08c UVNKR\">\n<li id=\"h.p_1PTq8lsJ22Ql\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">The Respiratory Unit has established clinical research interests particularly in the areas of Asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Cystic Fibrosis and Interstitial Lung diseases.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p id=\"h.p_k8OL-NzVx10p\" class=\"zfr3Q\">There are a number of ongoing projects particularly in the areas of:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"n8H08c UVNKR\">\n<li id=\"h.p_jkt5R2Pi3JFd\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">Studies into the early life origins of Asthma and Allergy<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_coFuiQ7v3K81\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">The natural history of wheezing syndromes: particularly factors affecting decline in lung function including perinatal factors, childhood diagnostic category and diet<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_icDCURsT3Lbs\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">Studies into the chemotherapy and other management of Lung Cancer<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_YfwVLaPC3Nht\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">Studies into the role of eosinophils and their products in the pathogenesis of Asthma<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_1yg2zH1Vx6lV\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">Treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"h.p_t6qqGZhb2pbV\" class=\"zfr3Q OmQG5e\">The University of Aberdeen<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"n8H08c UVNKR\">\n<li id=\"h.p_qi_9tKBw2pqF\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">The <a class=\"dhtgD\" href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.abdn.ac.uk%2F&amp;sa=D&amp;sntz=1&amp;usg=AFQjCNHAGt3zghk_9ezBnN8xyPoWI1s-fQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Aberdeen<\/a> is a fusion of two ancient universities: Kings College founded in 1495 and Marischal College which dates from 1592.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_MOIqaTR_v14G\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">The University maintains an outstanding record in scholarship and supports a high level of teaching and learning underpinned by a first class portfolio of research.<\/li>\n<li id=\"h.p_B2nci7Eg2pqG\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">The Institute of Medical Sciences is adjacent to the University Medical School on the Foresterhill site and brings together medical scientists and clinicians in a fully integrated research facility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"h.p_Z5nlMtit2pqH\" class=\"zfr3Q OmQG5e\">Audit<\/h3>\n<ul class=\"n8H08c UVNKR\">\n<li id=\"h.p_Bp-aQ7Dg38KM\" class=\"zfr3Q TYR86d\">There is a Clinical Effectiveness \/ Audit Department on site and a Scottish Office funded Health Services Research Unit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here you can find links for: Published research 2012 onwards.
